Talks are getting more heated. But D Telekom is getting a little greedy with their stock. But I see this as a reality now... Some of you really hate this. Why? I would think you still get your rateplans and service... Even though the check you write may have Cingular's name on it, wouldnt D Telekom get a little cash? You get the same service... I think that's why management control has been a sticking point during negotiations. DT wants to retain control which is tricky considering Voicestream is the smaller carrier. Your statement of "bad habits rubbing off" is probably one of the reasons they want to retain control. The fact that Voicestream is a fast growing and profitable carrier is another.

DT doesn't need anyone though. They are just trying to find away to pay off some of their debt the fastest.

Some of there debt now that is a understatment 67 billion dollars to a company that is very important to the german economy and they already recorded another 3 billion dollar loss this quarter you guys have to do more research voicestream is only a small part of DT and a merger would not keep them out of US market it would just mean they wouldnt be doing it alone as the 6th largest carrier.Yes thats right 6th you might hate cingular but merger would greatly help both companies and make Verizon icon
