Hi First time posting a message and not quite sure if I'm in the right folder. Bear with me. I am a student at Magee Univercity Northern Ireland and curently doing a masters on wireless communication and its impact on internet congestion. Does anybody know of where I could find the operating procedures and strategies of the companies who route the messages packages. I'm probably a little bit mixed up as I do not fully understand the difference between what ISP provides and who routes the packages. I am also trying to get a picture of the growth in the Wireless Market (PDA, Mobile Phones, etc) current and futures trends. I have contacted individual suppliers but have not had any great success. Would greatly appreciate any advise. |

Hi Annie, I have been a member here for over a year now. (My profile date says Oct.2001, but that is only since the beginning of the new software and server that WirelessAdvisor is using.) That said, I can tell you that no one here would probably have such information. As a suggestion: You might arrange an in-person "interview" with a carrier there in Ireland. During the interview, depending on the "feeling" you get, you could casually ask if they have any contacts with American or other carriers (Canada, Asia, etc.). The reason I suggest an in-person interview is that people are more likely to open up to someone they can "size up" in person. Carry yourself in a friendly, professional and casual-conversational manner, and you just might get what you're after. Kevin |
