Hello. I am curious as to which if any of the cellular companies and their affiliates have the wireless licenses to cover the entire USA market. It doesnt matter whether or not the coverage is built up or not.

Yes. Sprint PCS hold PCS licenses in every market of the US. Most are either A or B block with some exceptions. Most are already built out or are in the process of being built out.

Is SprintPCS the only one as of now with nationwide licenses or are there others regardless of the technology or frequency used whether it be 800 or 1900. |

Here in Cleveland Sprint is on the D block, and from what I have seen, I thoght most of thier licenses were on the D and E block. There are areas that they are on the A and B?

There is very informative thread in alt.cellular.sprintpcs at the moment on this topic. Go to google and search for Andrew Shephard as the author of the posts.

coalminer, Yes most of their licenses are on the A or B block. Some exceptions include Cleveland, Chicago, atlanta, and Houston. New York, LA, San Fran, Philadelphia, Kansas City. St. Louis, and Dallas should all be on the A or B. |

I've always been skeptical of that Number. VoiceStream has NO licenses for my area as well as SouthWest VA.

All licenses are given by markets (people not geography). Any percentage number is a NOT geographical number - it's a percentage of the people who would be covered if the service was built out. Same thing when you read "network reaching 200 million people" etc. It's not based on geography.
