as a sprintpcs fan I have readily admitted that their CS has some issues. they do have at times long holding/wait times and also have a good amount of ignorant reps. all this must be remedied. however the last few times i have called CS i have had great experiences. i find being polite is a big thing my hold times in the past varied anywhere from 1 minute to my longest wait of 35 minutes. the longer hold times must be fixed i agree. i have also had some ignorant reps- and this must also be fixed. these last few days i have had an unusual amount of dropped calls (basically unusual because i rarely if ever have them) and in the last 6 days have had 7-8 dropped calls (i am under the impression they are doing major system upgrades-my speculation is that they have to do with 3g.) after calling CS i got through in 2 minutes and after being polite to the rep without asking she threw on 30 courtesy anytime minutes on my month to compensate for the dropped calls and was told to please call back if the problem persisted. also the other day i called to ask questions about pro-rating and got through in 3 minutes and had a very helpful and knowledgeable rep. just posting this to say that while sprint has a ways to go in CS care; their reputation as having NO CS at all is undeserved. they have their ups and downs (and while their downs are more than they should have) they really get no credit for their ups. |

I also believe that they are in the process of doing major upgrades. I've seen some workers at some of their cell sites during the past week and have had some strange voicemail issues. My VM indicator has come on several times since Monday even though I didn't have any messages. Last Sunday and Monday I couldn't call out on three tries from my girlfriend's house in Lake Forest, CA even though I had three bars of signal and in the past have had no trouble at all. When I finally did manage to get a connection it was so bad that I couldn't hear anything. Then last night and this morning things seem to have gone back to normal. This type of thing has never happened before so it leads me to believe that they are doing system upgrades. CS wait time for me at least has dropped significantly since the introduction of Claire. The last few times I've called in to test and ask for a PRL update I had less than a 2 minute wait time. |
