New Sprint Plans 4/28 i got this off of another forum so I cant verify the reliability. however the poster did seem very well informed so I am assuming they work for Sprint
.....here is what they have to say (not many changes it seems that there will be some more major plan changes with the intro of 3g)
4/28/2002
79.99 plan current 900/7100 TDC **note i am assuming TDC stands for the Total Digital Connection plans which include LD, WW, and Voice Command***
new plan
79.99 1000/7000 TDC
350/3650 plan add a phone capable
AAP changes
old way
main phone = plan charge
+ $10 (ex: $39.99 + $10.00
baby phones = $10 each
new way
main phone = plan charge (ex: $39.99)
baby phones = $20 each
all plans stay the same till atleast 6/30/2002 (looks like 3g/3g plans will launch 7/1/2002)

These plans stinks, man they give you more n&w and same amount of anytime minutes they offered when nights was at 8 p.m. Sprint
need to offer more.

Dukedog,
I agree that this stinks. I wouldn't say that these plans are bad, but I just expect something better from Sprint
. The current plans will virtually stay the same until 6/30/02. Disappoiting. I already knew about this from my local paper that had a Sprint
ad last week that the current plans would remain in effect until 6/30.
They could have and should have added 50 more anytime minutes to each one of their plans under $50. That would have been a great move.

They could have given 50 minutes or even more for changing the nights to 9 p.m., I really like my service, but if they can not offer me more minutes and a newer phone, I will just activate my 2nd employee line with Cingular which is free.

if you call to cancel and you have been a good customer you should get a sweet retention deal.

How about I never miss a payment since had service, and if I had to guess how much my bill history with Sprint
would be, I would say I average over $60.00 dollars per month.

Unless your account has suspensions on the history, most carriers including Sprint
could care less if you make your pymts ontime or if they're late. They're making revenue on your late fees The key to the best retention deal with Sprint
is to let them make their best offer with a 2 yr agreement and then tell them you'll walk away if they can't give it to you for a 1 yr agreement. Also, if you have a good phone, see if they'll just give you a retention offer with more mins and no contract commitment and they're likely to give and then hold out for the phone promo when you need it.

however they also will like that you average 60$ or more a month. if you read an article in another post from last week there is one carrier that assigns their customers a priority depending on how much they pay.
customers who average a 30$ bill may be making the carrier close to nothing.....whereas other customers provide profit.
dukedog if you are serious about cancelling you should get a sweet retention deal.
another thing is dont be mean about it to the rep; be polite-it is way more likely to get someone helpful rather than any other approach.
