Signed up for Nextel November 23, and still no port. I have spoken to about 15 people there, and NOT ONE of them did what they said they would, never called back, or followed up. I want to port my number from T-Mobile to Nextel, and everyone I speak to at Nextel promises something different or says they will check into it and call back, but they never do. They tried to tell me T-Mobile is holding it up, so I called them 3 times in the last week, and T-Mobile says no reason the port won't go through, I am paid up and not in any contracts. A supervisor at the portability fallout center promised to personally take care of it and call me back with status, that was a week ago. Last night, a guy from the fallout center said we can call T-mobile and find out, so after sitting on hold with him waiting for T-Mobile for an hour, I asked if he could sit on hold and call me back when he got through. He asked for my number and promised to be back in touch, that was 6pm last night! Still no word. Just got off the phone with ANOTHER guy, he says there's no reason to call T-Mobile at this point, a team of specialists is working these issues out, and it would be done as soon as possible. In the mean time, I have to pay for another month of T-Mobile as it starts on the 8th of the month. So 2 cell phone bills in one month, and neither one can get their act together, or give me a straight answer. Anyone else still waiting?

This should also hint to you that the customer service with Nextel is very questionable. If they are not getting back to you what does that tell you about what kind of company they are...may want to stay with T-Mob or try a different carrier--just my opinion

Make that 155 complaints to the FCC regarding Nextel. Plus one more to the BBB and the local Fox affiliate. Over 5 weeks and still counting Sprint->Nextel (plus limited incoming service on the temp#). The Nextel rep admits its their fault (not Sprint's) but still they can't do anything. Morons|Done (seems an appropriate word for Nextel, even has the same number of letters). =NLK= |

Your letter will probably end up in a recycling bin somewhere outside the FCCs office. Why do you want Nextel anyway? if you want the walkie talkie feature go with Sprint's Readylink and move on with life.
