Default siemens s46 ATT act as modem for laptop?

I have a siemens s46 through ATT, and would like to use it with my laptop to connect to a dial up internet service...is this possible? I have a IrDA connection, and was planning on using that...Also, if possible, then will I get charged for wireless internet service through ATT? Currently I dont pay for plan, so would it cost me the .03 cents per kilobyte? Thanks for your help!
