I was wondering if anyone could help me or advise me. I just found out that Verizon has the pink razr. I really want to get this phone but I'm an existing customer and my 2 year contract is not over until April 2007

. If I want to get this phone it is $469.99 for existing customers. Are there any ways around this or any way I can upgrade for a lower price. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

That's over a year still on your contract term, unfortunately the only other way would be to add a second line and give your existing phone to the other user and keep the Razr for yourself or you can try E-Bay or a web-site store that might have it for a reasonable price.

Where are seeing the phone is 469.99,it is actually 349.99 but if you are due for an upgrade than you can get it online by renewing your contract for 249.99 Unfortunately there is no way around it,good luck

I agree with post from other members here, adding a second line and buying the razr for yourself. The problem is I doubt your current phone from verizon has a simm card. If it did (or does maybe I am wrong) you can pick up an unlocked razr on e-bay or elsewhere and just move the simm card. And if you are leary of E-bay, you can try some place like Tiger Direct which charges $369.69 for an unlocked Pink Razr. There are other places as well. Either way it is not going to be too inexpensive. The key is does your current phone have a simm card? If not then purchasing a Razr eleswhere is not going to do you much good. Happy Hunting

Verizon is a CDMA provider, so no SIM cards. However you can get a Verizon V3 from an outside source or E Bay as mentioned previously and then do an ESN swap with the 6100 either on line or by calling Verizon. I don't know if this was mentioned previously but you can also try selling the 6100 to offset some of the cost......

, I'm not on much when I do a post I can always count on you to respond. Thank all of you for your advice. I did consider adding another line and switching the phones between lines. So if I add another line I could get the phone at the new customer price? I logged on to my account online and chose the upgrade option and that's where it said I would have to pay $470 but if it's actually $350 then I might consider it. Thank you all again.

Charlyee is correct. From the time I posted originally till now I was able to get my hands on a Verizon Razr, and checked, no simm card. That is so last century.

In your case since you're not due for a handset upgrade it will reflect the retail price, if you add another line then you will qualify to get a subsidy discount, you may want to call customer service to confirm that..

Now my question is, why would Batxxxgirl want a Pink Razr? that's so girl like...

Black would go better with your Batxxxgirl oufit.

My girlfiriend is with USCC right now and she saw the pink Razr that Verizon was offering and she literally almost had a cow.. she's one of those super-girly types that loves anything pink. Problem is, she's in contract with USCC for another 2 yrs so she won't be getting one anytime soon. Plus she has itty bitty hands and the phone is just too big for her hands. Still, I can already tell that this phone is going to be a real hit with the female crowd.

Remember Verizon's phones (at full-retail) are not the same price in every market. So while it may be $350 in CA, it could be nearly $500 in the Great Lakes market (for example).
