Default Need Tracfone help!

Hi! I'm a newbie in the wireless area & I'm embarrased to say I've had a Walmart Tracfone for two years and don't know what carrier it uses. How do I find out? I pay in advance once a year with a credit card to Tracfone.
My second question is that last week I discovered it would not ring on an incoming call, and there is a "no signal" icon on this Motorola Tracfone.
If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it! FritzK

We can likely "guess", knowing what make and model the cellphone is. You'll find some information under the battery.

That 's a good reason for the cellphone not to ring. It didn't know it was supposed to, without a signal!

What causes a "no signal" icon? Should I replace the battery? It charges up OK. (two years old) Or is there some other reason. I've never lost a signal before.Thanks for your responses. Fritz

I'm not 100% positive but I don't think that's a need to buy a new battery. If it charges ok and stays charged, it's fine. A no signal could be a network problem or maybe you're in a place with just bad service. You could've been roaming on anothe carrier before and the company you're on may have pulled the roaming agreement there. It really goes by a number of things.

But if you let us know what phone you're using we can tell you what carrier you're on.
