Default verizon / cingular number swapping
hi friends,

i use verizon but prefer cingular
my friend use cingular but prefer verizon

is there any way to change the phones keeping our numbers?

pls advise

Welcome to WA Saaaaj


The only way to do that would be for each of you to port your numbers to Cingular and your friend to Verizon, just switching phones will not do because both used different networks, Cingular GSM and Verizon CDMA.

No porting fees, no CS calling,
no problem.

But my Best Answer/solution is activate call
forwarding on Both.
You still have your own number w/
different carrier.

same here. The only way i would do that would b if we switched our names on the bille.. (cingular persons' name on the new vzw bill and vise versa) but that would kinda defeat the purpose..

Same here, even though I love my friends, I wouldn't swap phones with them and pay their bill.
They could do a change of responsibility I guess.

And let's remember, VZW seems to still be in the practice of starting your contract over for 2 YEARS, regardless of what they tell you, for any plan changes whatsoever. One of the biggest ripoffs of VZW is that little card they give you when you by their servcie, that gives the indication that you'll be in control of your plan / service, and they'll address any of your problems,...what's that "worry free" thing ? Bunch of B.S.
