Question Anyone use RCC Wireless (Unicel)?

Anybody on this forum familiar with RCC wireless or use their service? I was reading financial/subscriber reports for 2nd Tier carriers in RCR News this week and noticed they have 750,000 customers, but only added 5,500 for the year!?!? Can that number be accurate? They must do some heavy roaming traffic to make it with those low addition numbers. What is the scoop on this company and how is there service?

At one time we used RCC in central minnesota. They cover northern minnesota fairly well. In northern MN they are a CDMA on cell B side network so Verizon uses them as their roaming partner, which covers I-94 and I-35 north of the twin cities.

They also operate two GSM networks in Duluth/Virginia MN and Sioux Falls SD on a 1900 PCS license that they basically only sell an unlimited plan that covers that particular city. T-mobile and Cingular roam on those networks.

They also operate a GSM network in Vermont that cingular / t-mobile roam on.

You can actually look at their financial information online at their site:
http://www.rccwireless.com/corporate/ir/

in particular you can look at their annual report to see how they make thei rmoney:

My aunt has RCC, I guess she likes it. She's been with them for years, but she isn't a very heavy cell phone user. They are mostly a roaming revenue carrier like Western Wireless.

Western Wireless will be more than a source of roaming revenue now as they become Alltel.
