I e-mail Cellular One (Dobson) in Sault St. Marie, MI and a women by the name of Sara informed me that they are conveting from CDMA to GSM. She was not sure what Cingulars roaming agreement with Dobson was. But my TDMA phone would not work on their new system. She said go with Cingular GSM and at least your phone wold work. She made it sound that hey were dismantleing CDMA. Looks like Verizon will have to go with Alltel.

They will regardless of what technology Dobson chooses, as VZW and Dobson simply do not get along -- last I heard, VZW customers can no longer roam on any Dobson systems in the US (including in parts of KY where VZW customers can't roam on Cingular either.)

Wierd that she said it would not work... Is it a tri-mode TDMA Phone? If so, you should be able to roam on analog, reguardless of digital technology.
