Default Dual Nam to Lock out faint VZW signal???

I am a Verizon customer with a Motorola v60. Is it possible to dual nam the phone to CellCom with my VZW phone number and lock on home only to prevent it from locking on to a distant Verizon signal from Green Bay when I'm in Algoma WI? Very frustrating and dangerous on Lake Michigan when the PRL causes the phone to switch to faint (and unuseable) Verizon signal when we can see the CellCom tower in Algoma.

Yes, you should be able to do this. Try the programming instructions below. Enter 362 for System ID (Cellcom).

1. Enter [7],[4],[6],[6],[3],[#],[MENU],[MENU]

2. Select NAM2

3. Enter Phone Number MIN, MDN, and System ID where asked

4. Save and exit.

5. Switch to NAM2 and force "home only".

If you use the phone on NAM2 outside the Cellcom area, switch back to standard scan. Also, NAM2 will have a very old PRL on it. That should not be a problem for what you want to do, but you can always update it if you want.

Thanks,
I've been out of the cellular business for a while (started with bag phones and Moto 550 flip phones) and forgot the progamming access code. Phone programmed fine and I'll try it this weekend. An even older cellular dog told me about this years ago and it stuck in the back of my mind. I'll be a hero with all the salmon fishermen from the Twin Cities that swear at Verizon every weekend.
