VZW is getting the Network in KY and OR
US Cellular I think is already running the Network in NC

What technology does Ramcell use? I would assume CDMA but the Verizonicon coverage map just shows analog coverage for the Ramcell areas in Kentucky. Are their towers just analog?

Ramcell is CDMA in OR and NC, but is still TDMA/AMPS in KY.

I assume that the Ramseys will sell NC-1 to USCC, Alltel, or AT&Ticon sooner or later...

They used to, but currently don't.

It turns out that Ramcell in SW NC is a partnership of the Ramseys and USCC. Given that, NC-1 is almost bound to land up with USCC if the Ramseys decide to sell their half.

That said, I'd rather see AT&Ticon, Alltel, or someone else who's either GSM or at least willing to do GSM to get it; AT&Ticon's (recently built) coverage in SW NC is OK but could be a lot better.

I just wonder how this will effect the relationship between Bluegrass Cellular and Verizonicon. Bluegrass has recently put alot of time in effort and money building the SE Kentucky area out. I know in the past Bluegrass and Verizonicon have partnered for roaming on each others system. I wonder how and if this will effect that.

It probably won't affect anything -- yes, Bluegrass and VZW will overlap in Somerset, Corbin, and London, but I don't think that's enough overlap to cause the two to quit roaming on each other.
