Signal 1000 foot lightning rod.

Here one of our towers I had to go to during a thunderstorm, definately scary. This thing is alittle over 1000 and is a TV transmitter. It gets hit everytime it rains. The backhaul always gets nailed. The last time it took out 3 miles worth of ATT wire.

I believe Cellonetech is a cellsite technician as am I. We work on the electronics at the bottom of the tower not hug the steel.

Correct, i climbed a few years ago when the market was tough. No more climbing for me. This was a quick in and out job to open the shelter for ATT.

Is this is the northern lower peninsula or the UP? Im glad that you guys have been improving on your network up US131. I dont have Cellular One but I do roam on to your network (I have T-Mobile). I travel from Grand Rapids up to Big Rapids every few weeks. Only complaint I really have is that I wish I could get coverage inside of the Big Rapids Walmart and Meijer. I have the same problem when I am roaming on Centennials network. Anyhow I always like seeing pictures of the local towers.

We have several around here that are 2000' with some even pushing over that to 2050' or so. They are all for TV/radio. Cellular, paging, and two-way services lease space though.

One about 10 miles from my house I can see from my front step, and it can be seen from 6-7 counties easily on a clear day.
