Default Cell Phone tower question - Kentucky

How do I go about donating land to cell phone companies for a tower repeater site ??
Im in the London, KY area and have called a lot of phone companies and they act like they dont even know what I talk about. The location is in the area of state route 229/ 1810 on a big hill Laurel and Knox County line area. Any ideas ? Im thinking CDMA or IDEN tower would be good here IDEN nextel CDMA sprint, alltel, ramcell, bg wireless, etc. If u have any ideas please let me know thanks!!!

I guess it's one way to greatly increase your chances of getting better cell service on your property ... maybe he can raise rates in the future after the tower and generator's built??

Other than sending letters and letting them know the offer's on the table and asking for a response that's about all I know. Alltel doesn't cover that part of Kentucky though so don't worry about them. It looks like Sprint (iPCS maybe??), Nextel, Ramcell, and Bluegrass do.

Dont donate, lease your property to a Cell Company or a tower company. You could be getting at least $500 to $2000 a month for a lease rate depending if the tower company thinks multiple carriers will jump on.

Look up these guys on Google, most have links on their websites to lease new land.

American Tower, Crown Castle, Spectra Site, Global Tower Partners,
KGI (Alltel) there are some others but these are the big ones.

I would go for Bluegrass, Sprint, or Verizon. Alltel doesn't have a license to serve there I believe. VZW may not either I'm not sure...

First off, I concur with the others...don't give it away. It they will use it, they will pay for it. Second, I would first contact the owners of the structures in the area and offer it to them. Let them do the leg work of contacting the carriers for marketing the property.

Based on a query of th FCC Antenna Structures Registration database, here are the owners of registered structures in London, KY:
