*86 works where ever I go to call my VM. Maybe his phone was programmed wrong. I believe they need to program the *86. Call Verizon and find out. I actually like in a area where my phone kicks to extended next and works fine. The network is Midwest Wireless soon to be Alltel.

I'm sure you are already in a contract, but Sprint offers very good coverage in Green Bay, Hwy 29 and Eau Claire.
