I am looking for people that may have Cingular service in Minnesota, preferably in my area in Hutchinson, MN. I am looking to change service as my plan with T-Mobile has expired. I read about many people having different problems with Cingular but also read where they have also increased service here in Minnesota in the past few months. Of course, no cell provider is perfect everywhere but am leaning toward Cingular but I do not know of many people that have their service in this area so am a bit skeptical on this. Any help would be appreciated. Would be doing this with the Motorola Razr phones so if you have any advice on this phone, that would be great as well. Thank you in advance for your help. |

Not sure if you have seen this yet, but this is Cingular's Street Level coverage map: http://63.241.153.180/coverageviewer/B2B.html Could be better judging by the map, but on the other hand, it's only a map and your experience may differ. |

If you're interested in switching, I'd recommend at least waiting until the sale of WCC/Alltel (A) to Cingular is complete, and they've had a chance to rebuild the network. Right now, their coverage in that area would be "partner" or 1900(PCS). But, then, depending on the sale, there'll still be a wierd 800Mhz gap between the metro and rural counties. http://people.ku.edu/~cinema/wireless/great_lakes.html |

I'm not sure if you've looked into Midwest Wireless....soon to be "Alltel" but they probably have the best coverage in Hutchinson by far. Not to mention statewide you would be better off with a CDMA provider for all around coverage at the present time.
