Whenever I dial *611 in the past week or so I hear some music and then it automatically asks me for my billing ZIP code, then tells me by current acct balance, my last payment amount and date of that payment and then tells me about my peak minutes used, offpeak minutes used, N&W minutes used, and MTM minutes used. After this finally ends (2 minutes or so) I am then given the menu I used to get right away after dialing *611. When I need to speak to customer service (or if I could care less what day I made my last payment on) this extra 1-2 minute wait is useless when I can get this infor from #646 or from option 1 of the main *611 menu. Has anyone else experienced this change? It is rather annoying, I hope they go back to the old way of doing things soon.

Yep, noticed it too here in the Mineapolis, MN market. I agree, I hope it changes back to the old way.

I doubt it is going to change back. Most companies that have tech support are making it a lot tougher to get through to an actual person. The are trying to make everything automated and internet based so they can cut down on there customer service staff. I have dealt with several differnet companies where there is just an automated loop and you can never get through to customer service unless you hang up and dial the sales dept. and then have them transfer you to customer service. It is a pain but they must feel that since other comanies are doing it to save money, they should be able to do it also.

Thing is, other than the delay, it is just as easy to get a live person on the line. I could just do without all the account info being read back to me automatically when there is still an option to hear that information when you get to the main menu.

Matt, I noticed that when I called today to. I bet they got tired of everyone not listening to what was being said at the beginning of the menu, and getting a live person just to ask what their balance was, or how many minutes they had used.

Pressing 0 gives you a menu too...no faster to a live person...at least not on Verizon
