I am testing their service in Northwest Chicago suburbs. Can anyone give feedback in this area. 3 days is not much time to test a service that I will be locked into for the next two years......thanks!

3 days??? That is terrible. I would have to go out of my way to get to all the places I thnk I visit "regularly" during a 3 day trial. Didn't VS used to have a similar policy?

That's what scares me. If they had confidence in their network, why not give the standard 15 days?

That is a little goofy. But unless USCC has messed with the network it should be pretty good. PrimeCo was pretty darn good. |

To keep people from getting them for a trip and then brining them back and canceling service. Although I have seen some instances where they have given more time..

They give you 30 days or 30 minutes here.

People are telling me I sound louder, and maybe a tad clearer on with my VX4400 (Verizon), than with the VX10 (UC Cellular). Is that a difference in the phone quality, or is the Verizon network better in that regard? I have to make a decision on this tomorrow, as my USC 3 day test is just about up.....thanks

In Wisconsin it is 72 hours... Not 30 days. They used to have a 10 day trial but went away from that last year. Nokiaman |

In Iowa it is 72Hours, but if the phone doesnt work, I have never had a problem disconnecting a customer within a month. I have a lot of customers in rural areas. But the network is great in Chicago. I have used it several times it is good in the suburbs, such as Wheaton, Naperville, and also in the loop.

dakkon- that could just be a difference in the phone. I read somewhere (sorry don't remember where!) that some people have experience microphone problems with the vx-10, meaning the people you are tlkaing to may not be able to hear you clearly. A different phone from USCC could make a difference, but I guess you don't have the time to test that out....

RyanM: I think the 30/30 thing you are talking about is for new PHONES, not new service. When I bought my v60i, I asked what kind of return policy they had and I was told that I had 30 days. If I didn't like the phone, I could trade it in for a different phone or re-activate my old phone without paying for the new phone. They never said any thing about 30 mins. to me; maybe that is were they screw people on a new phone!!

I was told that you get 72 hrs and 20 mins for cancelling a plan. Anything over for minutes and you will be billed for them, but you can still cancel anytime up to the 72 hrs. 3 days and 20 mins is a very little time to test out the call clarity and signal. At least you can change phones after the three day trial if you find that the clarity with the phone is not up to par, but how do you really know if it is the phone or the provider until you test out another phone, and then you are beyond the 72 hrs.

I think this is a great topic to take to that USCC Yahoo! group Wyldekard started. If it is already there, then just ignore me, I am not a member so I don't know what is currently being discussed....
