My friend that works at Alltel told me that on Friday, they are supposed to release a PRL update. The area effect most will be the northern markets. I just thought I'd pass along the information.

The bad thing about this is that Alltel does not do over the air programming, meaning everyone will have to take their phones in to be reprogrammed. I know for a fact that is how it is here in Cleveland, unless they updated the system in the last 3 months, is that how they are everywhere?

You still have to go into the store to have your phone flashed. I really don't mind doing that though b/c at the same time, I can have my phone software checked out and browse for my next phone purchase...lol

Being able to update w/o going to the store is coming, but I think that they are putting it off until all of the CenturyTel upgrades are completed this fall.
