What software version in the 6360? Have they ever been OTA'd? Hands logo or USCC on startup?

v1.20 (never had a problem)

No Logo. I had a personal one, however i just wrote over it with a blank one. Can be replaced with whatever you want it to be.

I believe OTA is "over the air" transmission.

US Cellular does put a lock on thier TDMA phones. They do not lock the SOC but they do lock the band order which is the 2nd most important lock. I just had a Nokia 5165 from US Cellular that I removed a band order lock on.

What is the band order lock code, and what exactly does it do?

There is no band order lock code..the phone has to be unlocked through Nokia service software. The band order prevents the phone from scanning and using the correct towers.

I have sold hundreds of US Cellular phones, and NONE of the nokia's had problems going onto any network besides AT&T. Motorola on the other hand, they dont seem to work as well.

Default Need UNLOCKED TDMA phones? Or US Cellular phones?

RyanM,
Is there any way to program my 5165 so that it will find other carriers while using the "search" under "system"? I know it doesen't ever find a carrier other than the home, or PRL designated (while roaming)...I would like to be able to manually select carriers, and have been told it's not possible. Is there any quick way to switch back and fourth? If I change the NAM1 to a different carrier's settings, my phone reads ROAM. , but when 611 or *611 is dialed, it still is US Cellular...

Ryan,
You say you are an expert and you are dead wrong about this one! Are you in a Nokia service center and have Nokia Service Center Software? If so if you hook a phone up from US Cellular and look for locks you will find a band order lock. I just had one the other day!
