Hi, I might be moving to St. Louis, MO soon, and I currently have a Samsung A460. How is the coverage in the St. Louis area? Woud I be better off to switch to the Sanyo 4900, which I am doing if I stay in Columbus, OH. Or, should I wait until I get there and change providers as I am not under contract with Sprint? Any insight that you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve |

St. Louis is one of their best markets. They won the 2001 JD Power award for St. Louis so I wouldn't worry too much.

Isn't Sprint headquartered in St Louis? Or is it KC?

It's Kansas City, MO. I was there for 3 days back in early 2001 and coverage was excellent everywhere I went. The hotel I stayed even had a Sprint tower right behind it !

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. But, a new question. If I don't go to STL and I do stay in Columbus would it be a good idea to switch to the Sanyo 4900? Any feedback appreciated. |

It's pretty much a good idea to avoid the A460 no matter where you are. I had one and it couldn't even locate a signal where my old Sanyo 4700 could. I would get the 4900, but you will probably have to pay full price if you are still under contract.
