I live in southeastern Michigan around Detroit and i was wonder which service people prefer, Nextel or Tmobile. I am definately switching today or tomorrow. If I get Nextel, I will be getting the i95cl, and if I get Tmobile, I will be getting either the v70 or the T300. I need peoples opinions. THANKS!!

Verizon offers the best coverage for the Detroit area and lower Michigan for that matter. What's the reason you want to switch and only looking at Nextel & T-Mobile? |

I hate Verizon's phone selection. The reason that I am looking at Nextel is that a lot of my friends have it and I could put that direct connect feature to use, and looking at T-Mobile because they have a good phone selection, and a great plan for southeaster MI.

Why not buy an unlocked phone and use it for Verizon. I realize how that can be costly. Go with T-mobile you get more minutes for your money.

I don't know how Nextel's service is in Detroit, but I do know about T-Mobile's. Everytime I go to Detroit, which is pretty frequently, since I only live 45 minutes away, T-Mobile's service has been superb. I have never had any problems there. In fact, I'll be going up to Detroit tomorrow for a brief moment. Go with T-Mobile. By the way, the the person that was talking about buying an unlocked phone and use it with Verizon, you can't do that. None of their phones are locked to start with, you just have to get the correct settings and numbers from Verizon themselves for the phone to work. About 99% of the time they won't give them to you if they don't carry the phone. |

Go with Nextel, you won't be disappointed! Oh by the way when you check out rate plans. Make sure you get the most recent ones. There really great deals.

I would have to definitely agree with Runagun, I have personally used Nextel in those area's and have found their service to be excellent.
