Does anyone have CDMA coverage with Alltel in Michigan? I just purchased a CDMA phone in Petoskey, and they tell me that I should have digital coverage by December. Is this realistic, or is it just sales talk?

I purchaced a cdma phone in Manistee. I was told by the people in T.C. that it should be digital by January. My guess is that will be delayed because that just seems how it works. I am over this analog junk!

I just got back from a trip from the bridge to southern Michigan. I got great digital reception in Jackson, Lansing, and suprisingly Grayling. Digital was spotty everywhere else, and non-existent north of Mt. Pleasant (with the exception of Grayling).

Alltel is in the process of a CDMA "overlay" of all the existing (Century Tel) sites and also building out some new towers (all CDMA). The CDMA overlay is a ongoing project in phases. I think that in a few months everyone will be very happy with their service.

Fossil, any idea if any of the new towers are in the South Kalamazoo County area (Vicksburg)? We could sure use some help in this area.
