Default Cincinnati bell wireless going GSM

Does anyone know if CBW will be converting to GSM. I have e-maild thier customer service and they said they had no idea if they were ever going to switch so I would assume that means they havent even started the upgrade. I am an ATT customer in a GSM market but I am in Cincinnnati frequently and I am reluctant to switch becasue of that fact. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you are going to switch to somebody else, then you should switch to T-Mobile as they have very solid great GSM coverage in Cincinnatti.

End of 2003? Jesus, why bother? GSM will be up to EDGE at that point. That's why I'll take CDMA, these small TDMA are too friggin' slow to upgrade.

I agree, but in this person's case, all he has to do is pick up T-Mobile which already has a well established, solid, GSM network in Cincinnati.

Very true Aiwapro. Between ATT Cingular and T-Mobile, there will be good GSM coverage in the US. Hopefully they will all freely roam on each other though, that'd be nice (well some sort of roaming agreement) since these smaller carriers are taking their freaking time. I have a feeling that these carriers will fall way behind the CDMA ones (CBW, Cell One, etc) since their won't be many more TDMA phones coming out...yet they won't got GSM for another year.....bad phone selection and coverage won't be improving .
