The email address for Sprint PCS customers is: '10digitmobilenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com I don't know how to send emails, but I know you have to sign-on to wireless web to do so with Sprint PCS. |

You can get an email address to your phone by logging on the SPCS site and clicking on My Email if i remember correctly. To check it you can use the Wireless Web (if you have it on your plan) or log in to check it on the SPCS site or you can have it automatically forwarded to another site. Keep in mind that text messages are sold in 50 message bundles unless you have the WW which comes with 50. ...and then there is Short Mail....an entirely different animal......and then you have AOL I.M. G. |

Thanks got all of that singed. Just called Customer service thursday and had pcs wireless messasging signed up for the $1.99 plan i saw the other one for $10 but I not going to use or ever use the 500 web alerts or text messaging for that, the sprintpcs person told me its mainly for business people, and he said I dont think any person like yourself would need this service either, I got my shortmail working, like you said, (your number)@messaging.sprintpcs.com, and finally got my free phone email account too. I got other question now. Does SprintPCS have roaming agreements with verizon, they both have the same network? Its wered in my area in the 54455 SprintPCS has a raoming agreement with CellularOne, and to my understanding CellularOne doesnt even have CDMA network, they are TDMA and this fall will have GMPS I thinks thats the right network with they will be lauching this fall, Why would sprintPCS do such a stupid thing and doing business with CellularOne, if fact CellularOne(Dodson), has been given notice to the nasdaq for delisting. Which to me means CellularOne will not be able to trade anymore and wont be able to get capital for spending money. If I were CellularOne I would just sell, I aslo know this for a fact CellularOne sold 4 states to Verizon already. Whats the deal behind a company whos network is a CDMA and buys a tdma network, NO sense at all.

I don't know much about Cellular One but if they have an analog network that is probably where the roaming is done. You do have the Wireless Web option on your plan so that you can send short mail without getting charged 39 cents / minute? G, |

yes I sure do have that plan the option. $10.00. 50 minutes to use on any other network. So I hered CellularOne is going all 100% digital soon they say 70% there. Analog sure drains down the battery life alot it would be nice if CellularOne switched roaming agreements to Roaming Digital.

That's the off-network minutes... He's asking if you added the Wireless web option so that you can send messages without being charged $0.49 per minute. Sprint is really bass-ackwards with SMS... they don't even offer TRUE SMS. They use what is called "Short Mail", which requires you to log onto wireless web to send, thereby charging you per-minute fees if you have not added Wireless Web to your account. Be VERY careful about what you add, because my friend asked for exactly that and only got messaging added, so without his knowledge was being charged per minute fees to send SMS and AIM messages. You absolutely HAVE to double check the CSR and make sure they're adding wireless web access or they'll just add messaging (only allowing you to receive SMS free of charge). What a royal pain!
