Default istream options?

i was going to sign up for one of the data plans.
but i just called for the difference between the
2.99$ and 5$ plans they have out there.
voicestream said they dont offer the 5$ plans anymore.

IS that true?

what was the difference.
i went ahead and signed up for the 2.99 plan already thinking that later i can change it if the other plan exist anymore.
should i just call back and ask another sales rep?

The $5 plan offers the same amount of transfer as the $2.99 plan, 1MB, but the $5.00 plan allowed you to connect your phone to your laptop or PDA and connect that way too. The $2.99 plan does not allow this.

Are you sure about this? I spoke with a representative, and it seems you can always connect a PDA/laptop to your phone.. even under the $2.99 plan. It's just that the bandwidth won't be sufficient for those devices.

Yes, I'm sure, but you can test it yourself and see.
