Im a Sprinticon Customer and do you see any plans on Sprinticon getting with the program in Central and Northern Wisconsin soon. They have half of highway 29 done but dont done, in order for me to go to greenbay i would have to drive 30 miles out of my way to jump on highway to go to grrenbay because there is no coverage on highway 29 east til Appletton and greenbay, I dont understand this coverage plan they are doing it seems way half donkey like. It would take much to get service in Central and Northern WIsconsin and I know Sprinticon has lots of money. Just wondering what there plan are for Wiscosnin areas.

And those areas he's referring to in Wisconsin are affiliate areas. The affiliates don't have always have the funding to build out very fast.

Only the General Manager of that market would be able to give you that time estimate. No one else really can. It all depends on the local communities and their resistance to new towers.

Larry anyway I can get ahold of a manager by phone email whichever. I was driving down highway 51 yesterday and Ive seen so many cell towers and believe this if you can Sprintpcsicon signal was not on one of them so you guessed it no signal at all. There are alot of dead spots all over Wisconsin, and its sad to have Sprintpcsicon not doing more to get agrememnts with other carriers so they can get the coverage better in wisconsin, I know for a fact Sprintpcsicon have leased some towers in wausau, and merrill from another carrier to get coverage, why not go all the way. It isnt that hard to put up another network on a tower, unless SPrintPCS doesnt really care, and all they care about is getting the South and East cost done first. I see they have FLorida all done already. That dosnt help me when Im in wiscosin take a look for yourself Larry on coverage in wisconsin Im in the central part so its so hard to leave, If i get a flat tire or anything when im not coveraged Ill screwed. Besides I need this phone to be covered in all parts. This is a businesss phone.

With a Sprinticon dual band phone you will have backup coverage in case of emergencies anywhere in Wisconsin. All you have to do is set your phone to automatic. Big deal if you have pay .39 or .69 cents a minute if you're stranded.

The 2255 is a dual band tri-mode phone. If you set it to "automatic" you can roam on any other cellular system when off the Sprinticon network.

I do I go by doing that. I was highway 29 and when thewre was no service I saw tons of Cell towers and want hooked on any of them, how do I get this to take dual band. I read the user guide but nothing helpping me there. I asked phone on the phone just to make sure they say I will pick up another cell carrier, but will be in roaming. I told her my phone seriers number and she said its dual band you can connect with any carrier on highway 29 and any carrier in the usa when you cant get coverage with Sprinticon PCS your be on the other network.

Something might be wrong with your phone then. You should be able to pick up a roaming signal by setting your phone to automatic. You could also try forcing it to "analog" only mode. If still no signal then there is no analog A or B service available there or your phone is defective.

Try this: Press ok and scroll to "settings". Press "ok" again. Scroll to "roaming" and hit ok again. Hit ok for "set mode". Then scroll to "automatic" and hit ok and then hit "end". This will get your phone to automatically roam when needed.

Man I feel dumb. Im in a area where Sprinticon is here lets just say that, but cant really know they are here. Do you have this phone too. Qualcomm 2255, how do you like it. This is my first time on a Sprintpcs. DO you ever go on roaming alot in your area where Sprinticon isnt.

Yes I have the 2255 and no I don't need to roam very often. Remember when roaming off network you usually need to dial a 1+area code to make calls no matter where you are.

Don't forget that when you are roaming you are getting charged for it

If you are off the network ALOT then consider switching providers
