Default Another New Verizon Plan

I don't know the exact details, but this is what I know. Verizon had previously released a 600 anytime minute plan in my area for $40 with bonus for nights and weekends. A new plan is coming with 1000 anytime for $50 with bonus for nights and weekends. I will keep you updated, but it should be available by next week.

<< with bonus for nights and weekends >>

While we're waiting for the new release, what do you mean by this phrase?

I see that this plan has 600 anytime minutes only, not 1300-1400 bonus minutes like other local plans
or 3000 bonus minutes like the national plans

I admit it could be an academic question, I prob'ly wouldn't use phone more than 600 min/mo anyway

This promotional local plan still doesn't compare to what other providers offer for their regional use.

The plan is better than most other carriers because it covers more coverage area hands down.

Never the cheapest, but always a value. I love the ability to use my phone in more areas than other carriers can compete.

How can their local plan cover more than a regional plan. For example, Voicestream gives you 3000 minutes for $59.99 in every market.

Check out this plan from Voicestream for the southern users: Voicestream Wireless (Southeastern regional plan). Noone beats this. This plan is only $49.99 too.

sure. like verizons NATIONAL SINGLE RATE map.

where every entire square inch of the country is covered in verizon red. not one spot missing. nada. zilch.

i think some someone at verizon said.....we need a coverage map.....here give my two year old a red crayon and a map of the usa and tell em to colour everything between the lines.

LOL, true idiot to be fair though Verizon is not the only carrier to do this. Cingular shows the entire US on its nation plan too with that little statemeant saying its not an actual representation of coverage, ALLTEL also does this on there truely national plans.

The new local promos with VZW are good and coverage is better than any other carrier.

The VZW Singlerate National Plan was out before the Cingular National Campaign and as long as you are in the USA and get a signal, then you will not be charged roaming and long distance.

All promotions recently with VZW went to Americas Choice Plans.

True, but have you seen Verizon's national single rate prices? $35 for only 150 minutes and no night and weekend minutes, that's just way too high.

True, they are offering more airtime than Verizon Wireless had in the past for same coverage, but soon they will not as they find out how counter productive it is to offer those types of plans (COST).

This is the lesson Verizon Wireless learned when selling those plans exclusively as their only National Option. Therefore Americas Coice Plans came into being.

Every once in a while I look at old collateral (ie...rate and coverage guides) and am reminded of plans that looked like $75.00 for 50 minutes and you got maybe 60 miles radius. It is amazing how the business has changed over time. Competition is a good thing.
