I am just wanting to get feedback on what your ideal wireless carrier would be you can mix and match for any company like for example If I could take the VZW network and there customer service and mix the billing system of SPCS I would glady pay the money to get the great service. So if there any carrier(s) that would be your "Dream Team" leave a message mate.

The Voicestream GSM network in everywhere that Verizon has coverage, and some analog. I would also like to keep all features Voicestream, including CS, messaging, billing, phones, everything, etc.

I'll take Cingular price plan and upgrade plan for as existing customer get a new phone every year or two and changing plans without signing a new contract and I'll take Sprint system for as quality clear calls and Verizon coverage, and also Sprint phone selections. That about it.

i personally would take the vzw coverage, but not the VS prices...i cant live without nightime minutes and neither can 90% of the people I know. I'll take the SPCS prices and plans and phones.....and the quicker CS pickup time of VZW but not their shadier billing practices. ill take the SPCS contract practices and billing as well. from AT&T i'll just take some of their neat commercials. the only thing Ill take from VS is Jamie Lee Curtis for the cheerleader of the team. Cingular can be the water boy.

No one can compare with Verizon? Look at the america's choice plans? Yes, they are good, but the real truth is that no one can compare to Cingular. Cingular gives you coverage everywhere, and you get unbeatable rates that are comparable to the Verizon America's Choice plans except with coverage everywhere in the USA where cellular is available. (coverage comparable to the expensive Verizon single rate plans). No one can compare to these plans yet. For $69.95 I get 850 peak minutes and 3500 night (after 9:00pm) and weekend minutes, all minutes including long distance, and I can use my minutes ANYWHERE in the Country, and if I had an internet ready phone, which I am getting soon, I will have free internet access. You cant beat them.

good point Idi. sim cards are nice. now cdma, i love to hear people talk so highly of cingular. i had cingular even before i started working here and i have never been more pleased with a wireless carrier. and yes the new national rate plans are very good and hopefully we will continue carrying them further than june 1, which is when they are supposed to expire. lets keep our thumbs crossed.

thats a nice plan. about what i get with sprint. 79.95 for 900 anytime and thousands of N&W also including the WW and Voice COmmand (pretty nifty and extensive extra lil feature) and my N&W are 8pm (older plan). nationwide on sprints digital network 35 cents for overage. and the WW works...all ive heard of cingulars ww is that it is tedious to use and unimpressive.....just giving you my impressions as ive gathered from a fair amount of users in various forums. now sprint is lacking in some markets with quality of network; but i must say i hear soooo many bad things about cingular quality of call i have my doubts. not saying that cingular is all bad but they have been quite the object of dissatisfaction......from dropped calls to network busies to the WW not working well at all if it works, to roaming problems (two guys cingular phones refused to roam when they were clearly supposed to with the right prl)

hate to break it to you wayne, but i dont think that at&t and cingular will find a price that both will accept for a buyout. that is one big thing that kept cingular from buying sprint when they had a chance late last year. although i will not rule out a buyout of anyone right now, i do not see it happening. also cingular i have heard has been in talks with voicestream. and with cingular going gsm soon, i would keep my eye on that. and as much as i do not like voicestream (sorry) they do have a good gsm market on the west coast.

yes thats right. i did know that my friends with nextel told me that. totally forgot that one. its funny cause my friend just lost his phone-with his lil sim card in it and he told me about it. old age is taking its toll on me. from what i hear cdma carriers should be getting phones with the UIM (our version of SIM) within a year or so. thank god.

Cingular has the Voice Dial feature, and they have had it for a long time, like since 1995-1996? Guessing. Anyway, last time I checked it was only about $3.95 per month. I tried it a about 4 years ago, it worked good, but I didn't like to use it because my phone # wouldn't show up on someone's caller id when I dialed with the voice dial. I got rid of it. I just checked their web site and I can't find it in the features section. Maybe CingularGuy knows more about it. Will your # show up on a caller id when you use SprintPCS's voice dial? Cingular has always had the most roaming agreements here in Michigan, and are the best as far as caller id and other features working while roaming on other networks. This might be different in their new GSM areas. About SBC selling Cingular, that would be hard to believe, since they just created Cingular, from all of the individual wireless companies that they owned, putting them all together to become Cingular, also, with all of the upgrading they are doing, but I guess anything is possible.

Hey Cingularguy, At&t and Cingular talking about a mergering not about a buyout , Cinguar right now is basically consisting of two providers that owns Cingular, not one. SBC and BellSouth mergered together to form one, and About Cingular buying Sprint, it was not Cingular how about it was Bellsouth and Sprint, that was talking about possibly mergering or a buyout, but it quickly fell though the roof in 1999, and shortly after that BellSouth and SBC got together to form Cingular in 2000.
