The number given to me for Sprint "Customer Satisfaction" is 1-800-211-4727. IT WILL BE BUSY. It doesnt matter when you call or who you are. I have been trying for days. The number was given to me by the manager of my local Sprint store (#830). Shortly after I got the $400.00 phone, model TP3000. two tiny screws on the top cover fell out of their respective holes. The are right next to the carrying strap. Pulling the phone out of its holder by the strap will overload the screws and they pop out. The store notified me they dont have any but I was due for a software upgrade. I left the phone with them and in an hour returned to find the warranty is now VOID due to the fact the screws are out. Also the phone no longer works, the attempt to upgrade the software caused an error. I remained friendly the whole time, and asked for the manager who came over chuckling and said "its warranty is void... bye." I asked him if there was a number I could call and... well , here we are. I tryed sprintpcs.com and in the "contact us" area could only find a form to fill out requesting they please contact me when convenient. That was sent in eight hours ago, no reply. I had no idea a company so large could hide so effectively from its customers after the sale was made. PLEASE consider this and try the number yourself imagining you have no phone and need help from them. Yuk! I hate to see people make money this way. -Rob- |

I not only have an equipment issue with Sprint(See my "Sprint and Sanyo SCP-4500" posting on this site, but also would like to share this with anyone who either, now has a PCS plan with Sprint, or is thinking about updating to a more minutes plan in the future. "BEWARE!!" They don't tell you about time changes that will drastically effect the way you have been using your minutes.... EXAMPLE: Like going from a $29.99/mo., 400 anytime minute/ 1200 min. nights and weekends plan, to say a $74.99/mo, 1000 anytime minutes/2500 nights and weekends plan. Sounds pretty good doesn't it. Well what they don't tell you up front, before you upgrade, is that, your night time minutes, which on your old plan would began at 7:00PM, will now on your "UPDATED PLAN!" begin at 9:00PM! Hell, with the way I work (5AM Till 6 or 7 every night) I was having enough trouble staying awake long enough to use the after 7:00PM night time minutes, to call my wife and family. I thought I'd pass this along to you so that you could make your decision with all the cards laying face up on the table, and not be dealt such a lousy deal as myself and no doubt, by now, others have too. You would think that any company, let along Sprint, would have to stoop so low, with the use of such Gimmicks. So when they tell you that nothing would change, except for the increase in the cost of your plan, and the minutes, ask them what's going to happen to your nightly and weekend minutes time frame? I wish I would have known then, what you know now. Happy Holidays.......da....Weeble! |

Unfortunately, I have also got the same busy signal numerous times from their customer service number. I don't have to deal with it anymore because I use Verizon and Cingular. I rarely even have a wait when I call customer service. Big Big Big Big Big difference!!!

Hey weeble I don't think the nights ever started at 7PM it was always 8PM until the switch to 9PM wasn't it? They usually do inform you of this change. They informed my brother when he switched over. Larry |

Hi Larry, I had 7:00PM nite time minutes down here in Louisiana, since 1998, before US Unwired took over Mercury Cellular, and then Sprint came in and took over/bought out US Unwired, and they had to carry my plan over intact to their company. Then somewhere around april of this year I went in an upgraded my old plan to the 250 any time, and 1100 night time/weekend plan, and that's where I started having my problems. They didn't tell me at sign up that my night time minutes would now start at 8:00 PM.instead of 7:00, I was routinely waiting till around 7:05 and would start making my calls to home, and my bill would keep going up each month. So i would cut down on my daytime calls, and, You guessed it, start doing more of my calling after 7:05PM. This went on for 2 or 3 months, and I figured with my bills continuously running between $140-175 a month, I figured I would just go ahead and get the special that they were running for the 1000 anytime and 2500 nights/weekends for $74.99. That was done around the 1st of Oct. and again, they never mentioned anything about my night time hours being moved back. To 9:00PM this time. So it looks like I'm caught up in a vicious circle at the moment, but I will get out of it one way or another. They've done got this Cajun riled up and I'm not going to stop until I either get my old plan back or some kind of money credited back to my account for not being informed of these time changes in the 1st place. Phewww! Sorry! No that I've gotten that out of my system.....See ya Later! da......Weeble! |

Hey guys its Rob. Thanks for the replys. To update you, My contract will expire this month and i am out of Sprint as soon as I can find a replacement company. I guess verizon has SOME happy customers which is better than any of the others ive looked at. I will be talking to them tomorrow. I see in about ten years we can look forward to wearable fully web-enabled PDA/Video phones that can do anything. Of course, the customer service will still be so bad that we cant get half the options functioning and we'll get overcharged and ignored just like now. The results of shopping around tell me to believe that Nokia makes the best phones and I guess Verizon is the most acceptable service. Anyone agree/ disagree? One other thing, would it be wise to wait till after Christmas hoping for package deals? Thanks again -Rob- |

Hi Weeble, That comes as a surprise to me. Here in CA there has never been a 7PM start time for nights. At least since they started with the contracts. It was always 8PM and then finally switched to 9PM. Now doesn't US Unwired have two different networks there in parts of Louisiana? The cellular network that they took over is seperate and isn't owned by Sprint. Sprint signed them on as an affiliate and they built a 1900 MHZ PCS network for Sprint am I correct? -Larry |

Dear Rob: If you are looking for sympathy from any company you wont find it these companys dont mind losing a couple of customers die to a faulty phone my best suggestion for you is to find a new service provider, but not to tell you that you might not have problems again is a false because these are billion dollar corporations for ever customer they lose they gain about five more thats how fast these things work. They do try to keep the customer happy don't get me wrong, but after a while they just stop trying. To answer your question about the deals after Christmas is the fact that all the good deals are going on now and will probably die out after christmas, this is in fact the buying season and the last quarter that these companys are trying to improve on for the Q4 reports come out. I would say look for the best deal now. CellguyNY |

Thank you Cellguy. I understand I am just a small fish and cell companies couldnt care less about one person at a time. I just dont understand the math. Sprint pays big bucks to attract new customers. They are lopsided, if they would take 5% of the advertising budget and put it into customer service, they would keep the customers they have. Three days have gone by and I cant even contact the customer service department. I bet I could get a hold of SALES immediately. Its such a waste. Anyway ill shut up now and take it on the chin. thanks for letting me know 4th qtr is good time to buy. -Rob- |

Yesterday i had just changed my price plan.By me doing so,my nights& weekends time frame had changed from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.The customer service rep had informed me about this change even though i had read about the new time change from my newspaper.Sometimes not everyone does their job the way they should. All that we could do is complain and hope that the complaints will be heard. |

Sprint should be offering some new plans after 1/1/02. Hopefully they will be better than these current plans and maybe offer more anytime minutes. N&W minutes starting time is expected to remain at 9PM though.

I want Sprint to bring back the Free & Clear 34.99/month for 300 minutes and nights and weekends. I am in the position where i use about 250-275 minutes per month, so their 200 is too little and their 350 is too much. They have this plan, but only on the "Most Minutes" local plan, not national with long distance.

I totally agree. It was a bad move for them to stick with their current plans for another month.
