I've been with Qwest Wireless in the Twin Cities, MN for nearly 6 years. For over the last 2 years, I've been happy with my Motorola v60c and statewide plan (1000 anytime minutes for $29.99 w/VM, LD, & CW). A couple of weeks ago, I received a package from Qwest stating that they were switching my service to the new 100% digital nationwide network. Only that my v60c was no longer compatible with this new network. When I called in, I was told that I would received a free, network-compatible version of my current model (v60c to Motorola v60i). While I wished I could receive the current model v60s instead of the discontinued model, I was pleased that it would be a free replacement. I was happier to learn that my 1000 anytime minutes plan was now upgraded to nationwide (Sprint network) and my monthly rate would remain at $29.99 with no contract. A couple of days later, I was even more surprised to find a brand new, Motorola v60s (not the older 'i' as promised) delivered to my door. Additionally, I received front and back white gold face plates for the v60s along with an accessories pack (car charger, headset, and case). Funny thing, I received a User Guide for the v60i instead of the v60s. I loved my v60c, but this new v60s with outstanding speakerphone and much better reception (5 bars instead of the normal 2) surpassed all my expectations. So if you're still on the fence about switching over and have a non-1x phone (i.e., 270c, 120c, or 60c), try giving Qwest a call. They really pleasantly surprised me with their initiative. |

That's good to hear. Hopefully areas where Sprint PCS is non-existent, they will now have service.....and hopefully they will update their coverage maps. Welcome to WA singsong.
