A newly constructed tower just went up near my hometown. It is an absolute "dead area". No coverage whatsoever from any cellular provider. I have been in contact w/ the owner & project manager of the tower. They both tell me that Centennial Wireless is currently the only client "signed-on" to the tower. My question is who AND how do I contact someone at VZW to get them to "locate" on this tower? I believe VZW will end up losing loads of business in this area if they don't get onto this tower...and soon. The tower location is: Converse, IN Lat/Long 40-34-41.3 N 085-50-38.9 W Any help/info I could get would be greatly appreciated. Or if someone might have knowledge about VZW trying to get onto this tower would be great also. |

I think the only you can do is complain about a dead spot there, and try to get others to do it also. They can find the tower themselves in the FCC database, and it comes down to if they want to fix the hole, do they do business with who manages the site, American Tower, SpectraSite or whoever. Even if they colocate, it will take a while. |

Verizon will use a tower from tower rental companies like Rasputin said. CrownCastle is the company Verizon works with the most. Verizon seldom shares towers with other providers so if the tower is GSM PCS for T-mobile or Cingular, it won't happen.

You can search Crown Castle International's site locator at http://www.crowncastle.com It doesn't look like one of CCI's sites. (You'll need to put in a negative longitude to make it west of the Prime Meridian.)
