Default RFB Cellular (Cellular One) in MI--status???

I am a VZW customer in Michigan, and am interested in whether RFB Cellular (doing business in northern LP and eastern UP as Cellular One) is in bankruptcy and/or up for sale. Reason is that there is no decent roaming agreement between VZW and RFB, and us VZW customers continue to pay .69/minute. I am hoping that either Alltel or VZW buys them out (no, I'm not starting a rumor, just hoping) so that the eastern half of the UP and the NE corner of the LP become either native VZW (if VZW buys) or part of the Extended Network in America's Choice (if Alltel buys).

Anyone with any knowledge about the viability of RFB Cellular here in MI? Thanks

The northeastern part of the lower peninsula is already part of America's Choice extended network.

I tough to say if Alltel could get RFB in the UP. If there is no PCS providers up there. Cities will have 2 providers to 1 and the FCC won't allow that.
