Does anyone know if Cingular M2M minutes have to be from the same local M2M area? For example, if I am a Chicago customer, M2M minutes only apply if I am in the Chicago M2M area and the person I am calling is in the Chi M2M area? If so, this is completely rediculious! I just noticed this wording on Cingular's website reg. m2m minutes: "Enjoy calls to and from other local Cingular customers in your mobile to mobile calling area." With Verizon, I just have to be on their network...in Chicago or California... |

I believe your reading is correct, and yes, it is nuts.

AT&T is like that too. Really is a better deal to go with Sprint. For $5 more per month, you have unlimited calls between all Sprint phones. Awesome deal especially if you've got family with the same provider.

I think Cingular is the only national carrier still doing this. T-Mobile has nationwide m2m when you sign up for it (included on family plans.)

AT&T does nationwide M2M...if you are on a National or DOR plan. If you read there fine print...it says "Home Area"..and if you look at their maps, it shows the home area with the red lines...since your "Home Area" varies depending on the type of rate plan, if you are on a National Plan then you get National M2M. |
