Is Verizon the best provider to use in the Champaign/Danville, Illinois area?

If so, which phone would have the best possible reception and clarity in central Illinois?

I have used Verizon in Champaign and have driven through Central Ill a bunch of times going to Chicago, and have had good coverage with Verizon. I also had used ATT there also and I had a few more holes here and there with a few dropped calls.
