I Use verizon wireless. I saw in one forum that you could switch which phone you want to receive service and you can do this online. This would be helpful because if i get an all digital phone and needed to use a phone with analog capabilities for a road trip or whatever, it would be easily done. Please can someone explain if this can be done online, and if so, how? thanks

Well I don't know anything about a website to change your phone model but if your using the moto 720 it is a tri-band phone so you have analog roaming abilities.

yeah, but I want to get the VX6000, which doesn't have analog capabilities, so I would want to be able to switch back to my T720 when necessary.

Im sure verizon would be happy to do the ESN change for you. Secondly are you sure your going to need analog? I roam a few times a year and have never had analog roaming its always digital roaming...

Verizon has a large digital coverage area. look at www.verizonwireless.com plans > national plans and click on america's choice "view map"

yeah I live in Minneapolis and there are still some areas nearby where there is no digital service and i would need analog, that's why I was wondering if i could switch the phones online. The reason why I would prefer this over calling CS is because i often have to wait a long time to talk with a rep and it would be easier overall to do it online. thanks for the responses though

first you must registered to your account, create a username and password, once you do that you can view your account as well as make changes, ESN CHANGE FOR EXSAMPLE, to change your "ESN" go to "ACTIVATE PHONE" on the right side of the page, from there entered your new "ESN" number and reason why, choose other for "REASON"

PS, the "ACTIVATE PHONE" page is being updated, so it may not work at the moment.

ESN Changes can be done in a heartbeat. No cost, and hey the VX6000 phone is REALLY REALLY REALLY cool..the resolution on the phone is gorgeous (for a cellular phone at least), plus the quality of call seems to be much higher then an average tri-mode phone.
