Anyone know if Sprint PCS and Verizon have any roaming agreements in place in Central, OH? Or if Sprint has any expansion plans for the region. If not....If I have a tri mode Sprint phone can I use Verizon's 800mhz digital network to roam? Thanks.

Sounds like an odd question... You are switching from Verizon to Sprint but want to roam off Verizon's network?

Well as long as he has a tri-mode phone and a roaming included plan then he should be good to go in case Sprint happens to not have coverage somewhere, he can have another network to fall back on. The problem is is that digital roaming is not always available in every market so he may end up roaming on analog. It all depends on how the roaming agreements are set up and what PRL you have.

I roamed for about 10 seconds on Verizon's digital signal (or I assume it was Verizon...I am unaware on any other CDMA carriers beside Sprint and Verizon in Columbus) in a parking garage here in Columbus last weekend. As I got deeper into the garage I switched over to analog.

There's actually a way to force the A500 to roam digital instead of analog but it's not an easy procedure.

Ive roamed on Cricket in downtown Columbus with my sprint phone. That was in a concert venue with a weak sprint signal. I travel to Columbus often and Ive roamed onto Verizon too north and west of town.
