Default Verizon vs. Sprint

I live in Detroit and am currently using Verizon. I am now looking at a new phone and new carrier. I travel frequently to MD and to Las Vegas. Which carrier will give me better coverage in all 3 locations? I am looking at getting the Motorola T 720 from Verizon or the Sanyo 8100 from Sprint. The packages are comparable in price.

I have never had Sprint, but anyone I know who has is constantly having reception problems. Their building penetration is horrible. In my opinion Verizon would probably be your best bet.

In Detroit, Verizon, without a doubt. I work with several people who have Sprint and they seem to have a lot of coverage problems where I myself and several others with Verizon do not. Not sure about LV and MD, but in this area, definitely Verizon.

I had sprint once, then got rid of them. There phones are great and I'm told there service has improved but still they have way less coverage then verizon.

They have the 4th or 5th most coverage in the U.S. Verizon is #1, you can't argue with facts like that.

Don't get the Motorola T720. A lot of Verizon users have complained about that phone.

Verizon's Las Vegas coverage is also really good. Sprint is also good in Las Vegas, but I would still take Verizon, because you can see the difference.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that part of it. Avoid the 720 like the ebola virus. If you need analog, get the LG 4400, if you don't need analog, then the Samsung A-530 or one of the phones coming in the next month or so might be a good option for you.

I live in Detroit and have Sprint for years and it works very well, both in Detorit area and on the road, especially well in the LV casinos. Haven't been to MD, so I can't speak to that. All carriers have their good and bad spots, try one where you need it most (home, work, etc) and see who works best
