Default Coverage in Mansfield, Ohio???

BIll,

are you sure about at&T (GSM AND TDMA) and cingular. (Neither sell service in this area)

Your Correct about Alltel is the leader in the Ashland/Mansfield area. They have great coverage.

If you are choosing new service go with Alltel if you are visiting mansfield with your sprint pcs phone then just to let you know there is a ok sprint singal in the major areas.

Default Coverage in Mansfield, Ohio???

I only have experience with Sprint near the Mansfield OSU regional campus, but it was pretty spotty out that way. It was OK along 30, but then as soon as I got about a mile from 30, I was getting about 3 bars on my Sanyo 4900, and I lost signal in most buildings. Verizon and Alltel do seem to be strong up there, based on what I've heard from my friends up there.

Default Coverage in Mansfield, Ohio???

I travel to Mansfield from Cleveland once a month. Coverage is solid the entire way down. Coverage has never dropped out for me in Mansfield. In fact it is great even north up to Shelby (where it drops out) I think you'll be fine.

Jack,
I hadn't thought about them not offering phones in Mansfield. But both carriers claim solid coverage along the I-71 corridor and the adjacent towns.
AT&T's TDMA Coverage map
Cingular Coverage map

Both companies use PCS frequencies in Mansfield, but I have not used either one in town, just on the interstate. A few miles farther south, Cingular uses Cellular frequencies and has much better coverage than they do north of Morrow county.

I'm having trouble getting the AT&T map to post... Try this
