Hi to all,

This does not relate to wireless, but does anyone know of another forum that talks about regular phone companies?

I have been researching and surfing to find a good deal since my regular phone service is taking me to the cleaners!!

Can you get MCI local in your area. If you can, check into the neighborhood plan $49.99 unlimited local and long distance, voicemail, caller ID/Call waiting Caller ID, etc. This was perfect for us, with taxes we paid about $60 a month and that's it, even if we would have left a call connected from Illinois to California for two days, it still wouldn't be more than that. The only reason we're not on that anymore is AT&T offered us that same thing for $19.95 a month as part of some "winback" program they have, and it's not that family plan they have it's anyone, anytime, anywhere in the US. We get that rate as long as we stay with AT&T. If something changes I'll just go back to MCI.
