Hey everyone. I'm in need of some answers...hopefully someone can help me out. i'm interested in buying the motorola i95 phone, but nextel doesn't have coverage in my area. i live just across the mississippi river from quincy, IL, so i'd use that as my address/zip code. what, if any, are my options? ...could i like buy the phone and just not go through nextel? or could i buy the phone and sign up with a different company or something? anyways, i'd appreciate some information concerning this. i'm currently signed up with U.S. cellular, don't much like it...but anyways...a cool feature about the motorola is that it's got direct connect...so it's kinda like walkie talkies...er sumthin...but i think that's a feature of nextel. anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. zigg |

Well, first off the only provider the i95 will work for is Nextel. Since they are the only one with a iDen network. Plus the directconnect feature will only work on there network. You need to find a provider that works in all areas you frequent often. Type the zip codes on the WA home page to see who offers service in your area. Also people who post will tell you who may work in your area too. Then you need to pick a plan with the provider you choose, then lastly pick the phone. Never pick a phone before picking the provider. Most of the time it will lead to a major disapointment in service. Also most providers offer a trail period to test there service out. Take advantage of these period, they usually are 14 days long. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I hope this helps you out some what. Good Luck!
