ATT or Cingular in Chicago

Hii

I live in the chicago area and am interested in buying a GAIT phone..
ATT offers a Siemens S46 and cingular is offering a SE 62u/Nokia 6340i.

What should I go for???

Are you on a carrier now? Do you really want a GAIT phone? Not from experience, but from what I've read, the GAIT phones don't switch seamlessly and you may be dropping a lot of calls when it wants to switch. I know there's a sense of security, but I personnally think it would be annoying losing calls because of switching. I also have read that quite a few people are having batteries drain quickly on certain phones when in TDMA mode. Just some thoughts.

If your not on a carrier now and want GSM, Chicago is fairly well covered by T-Mobile and their prices are way below AT&T and Cingular. Customer service seems better also. I have had AT&T previously, currently with Verizon. I'm responsible for our corporate phones with T-Mobile and Cingular. My top two choices are Verizon and T-Mobile. Verizon for coverage if you don't have a technology preference, T-Mobile for prices and GSM coverage if you want GSM. Again just some thoughts.
