Default USCC phone prices

Wow, US Cellular really jacked up their online phone prices...whats up with that? I thought they went down over time. The LG VX10 went "on sale" for $30 more...($49 now up to $79) haha that seems ironic. I also notice unlimited nights and weekends aren't offered with the $35 plan anymore...must be trying to jack up the profits. Oh well...

It looks like they raised prices on the phones $30 but USCC is giving a mail in rebate of $30 on all new contracts over $40!!

On the website the discount for 24 month agreements was reduced from $65 to $40 and the instant rebate for plans over $40 a month was reduced from $55 to $50. This results in an increase in purchase price of $30. There is a promotion running on the website until June 30 that gives an additional $30 mail in rebate. I think the retail stores have been offering a $30 mail in rebate for several months now. The mail in rebates take a looooong time to arrive. At least mine did.

All plan pricing and plan "perks" vary by your market region and phone technology. The best place to be a USCC customer right now is still CDMA in Chicago. The plans and pricing there kick butt compared to other USCC markets.

Once every market has CDMA, you are going to see a lot more similarities among markets. Chicago is a special example simpley because it is a new market, and market penetration is very important. Omaha is launching June 3rd, and with a great promotion, $10 off a month all plans 40 and higher. They are marketing the $40 plan, besides, it is a better value, almost double the minutes for 5 bucks, it is a win win situation, as far as rebates, go to http://uscellular.rebatestatus.com
