Right now I am just going month-by-month, as my contract expired a couple months back. Was looking into getting a new phone, most likely the 8200. I see at Amazon.com they have them for $69 bucks, but of course requires new activation. Anyone have any luck getting Sprint to budge on new phone prices for current customers? I know one guy who said he saw how much cheaper it was online for the phone, so Sprint volunteered to send him a new 4900 free if he signed up for a new contract. Wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

The most I have heard of anyone getting offered recently was a $50 credit to sign a new 1 year contract. How much you spend with them each month might matter too. They may be more willing to offer you something if you spend more than $100-120/mo. Have you had your phone for 18 months? If so you can get the standard $150 mail-in rebate they offer to existing customers willing to sign a 2 year contract (or a $75 rebate on a 1 yr).

After your service contract is due they will offer you any of there phones at discounted price for new subscribers but of course they will want another 2 year contract.

When I signed my new contract (granted it was last January) they gave me 750 minutes with 8:00 Nights and Weekends for $40 plus $10 Unlimited PCS Vision (Including Picture Mail) I told them I was going to switch carriers and asked them if they could offer me a better plan. |

That's a pretty good deal. I would have been more than satisfied with that.
