HI, I have T-mobile and they are ok. My wife has GSM service for AT&T. She and AT&T tells me they have better GSM and ring tones then T-mobile. Is that true? Can anyone else please give me feedback on there experience? Plus, If AT&T is the way to go. Which phone 7210 or T720? Thanks! |

I dont know how anyone can think that AT&T's GSM is better than tmobile's when the coverage is about the size of the 494/694 loop.

there gsm works down in mankato... i can pick it up when i do a network system select on my s105. i met a at&t rep and he says his gsm tdma Siemens phone is mostly in gsm mode when he goes out and about in the cities mankato and rochester and a few other places. i never used a at&t gsm phone but i heard from some one in canada that has at&t rodgers that they blow goats so i dont think there that great. for ringtones your just looking at the wrong places. i have some other coolest ringtones and i got them from a site called www.midiringtones.com/. if the site dont pop up when you type it in the address bar go to google and do a search on it. |

The statement about the ring tones doesn't even make sense. Ring tones come with the phone, not with the provider. Besides, most newer phones allow you to download whatever ringer you want. | |

As a sales consultant that sells both AT&T and T-Mobile, I would have to say that T-Mobile's coverage is much superior to AT&T's GSM coverage in Minnesota. I can say this because I have had T-Mobile for over 3 years and even 3 years ago it was better than AT&T is now with GSM. That's not to say that AT&T isn't improving their coverage, I know they are "turning on" new towers all the time. Even the guys that work down the hall (downtown Minneapolis) at the AT&T corporate store complain about the coverage in Minneapolis. In their defense, I can't use my T-Mobile phone in the building that I work in either. I have to walk about 10 feet out of the store towards the skyway to get a good signal. Overall, T-Mobile is better for now. I think that anyone that deals with both carriers would agree. As far as ringtones, it shouln't matter what carrier you have if they are both GSM. David Haines |
