I think Cingular has ownership in Thumb Cellular back in the day and sold it. Probably since they roam on Dobson north of Detriot and Thumb Cellular went CDMA.

I still roam on Thumb Cellular AMPS at my house. They used to operate TDMA also until they shut that down last year. Forcing the 6340i to roam on that was nice. Now I am forced to use AMPS and have sucky battery life. I'm just glad to have a good signal though.
