Cingular Wireless Celebrates Completion of New Cell Site in Attica, IN

Mayor Deon Swift makes Ceremonial First Call on Cingular's Wireless Network


INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless, the country's largest wireless provider, announced the completion of a new 125 foot cell site located in Attica, Indiana. Attica Mayor Deon Swift, members of the city council and other public officials were on hand to celebrate the new wireless service in the community with representatives from Cingular Wireless. The event took place at the new cell site located at 304 S. Market Street.
Mayor Swift made a ceremonial first call to Cingular network sales support engineer Bill Medford this morning commemorating the occasion. This cell site was of particular interest to local businesses and citizens of Attica who had wanted cell phone service from the industry's largest wireless service provider in the U.S.

"The City of Attica is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Cingular," said Swift. "We are positive that this endeavor will better serve Attica citizens and visitors to our community."

The company had been working with the city since 2001 looking for an appropriate location for the new cell site.
