Question My Problem with Premium Rate Text Messaging Fees..

I am a current sprint customer, and somehow i keep on receiving text messages from who knows for what and i was charged $3.99 per text message received. Its called Premium Rate Text Messaging Fees. I have 2 phones with unlimited m2m, unlimited vision, unlimited text messaging, unlimited n/w @ 7pm.. but for some odd reason i received a text message, and it didnt say from who and there was no message, just 5 numbers in the from field from that service or something (example.. 852-66) and when i receive these i get charged $3.99 a text message so i stopped all my incoming yahoo alerts so i can figure out where these are coming from. I called sprint they gave me a credit to cover most of the cost of those incoming text messages, but i still dont know where they are coming from. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and how we can stop it. Sprint said if i get another text message to save it and call them so we can block it, but if i don't call them back and if i continue to get these messages they are not going to waive any more of the fees. Any info would be great..
Thanks, in advance..

Try sending a text with the word "STOP" back to that number...that should stop it once and for all.

FWIW, this doesn't look like either Jamster or the "joke text" people, the most common cause of "unexplained" charges...they have different short codes.

Thanks for the info, I have tried to reply back and say stop, but because of there is no email, no 10 digit phone# only the 5 numbers it wont go thru so that i can stop the text messages from incoming. I talked to sprint they said "Next time it happens to save the text message call them and they will try to have it blocked" I have received 4 of these messages and it costs a total of 16.76 that was added on my phone bill that is outrageous. FYI, this is not jamster or the joke of the day, cause they asked me that already. I only had 2 yahoo alerts sending me the weather, and nfl game info. Any suggestions or info is great.. I love this website..

Just want to give you an update

I received 2 more text messages again and was charged $3.99 for each text message, I called sprint again gave them the numbers from the text message 332-57 they said it was from "Opera Telecom Ringtones" (website www.katazo.com) Phone# 866-616-6076 which I have never been gave me credit and they are trying to block any incoming from this site, and hopefully this will stop it. I did reply back to one of those text messages with the words "stop end quit cancel" and recevied another back stating "I was sucessfully unsubscribed from hiphop that i will no longer receive no more messages or charges."

Thanks for the help
